When Brittany Viklund and I had our first Brush and Pen workshop in April of this year, we had no idea it would be the start of a full and exciting year of teaching and creating together. After teaching our combined lettering and watercolor workshops all over Oklahoma, Arkansas and Texas this year, we were excited to close out the year with a lovely holiday workshop in Tulsa. Jessica Tucker of Jessica Tucker Photography was on hand snapping photos, so I'm thrilled to share a recap of our last festive workshop of 2015.

We were so lucky to be sponsored by Ever Something, who allowed us to use their gorgeous floral shop space in the Kendall-Whittier neighborhood. It's truly the perfect workshop space, with white walls, high ceilings, gorgeous handmade furniture, and beautiful blooms and plants around the perimeter of the space.

It was so fun to gather holiday-themed treats! We also had wine on hand for our guests, perfect for a post-workday retreat.

Our swag bags were filled with card from Brittany's shop and my shop, and we also gifted our guests with a gorgeous gold foil stamped card from Bella Carta Boutique and a beautiful print from Pie N The Sky. Our guests loved them!

Our guests spent the first hour learning watercolor techniques and painting watercolor cards. The second hour was spent learning brush lettering techniques. The last half hour was spent with open exploratory time for folks to combine the methods and create, create, create.

I am so grateful for Brittany and for each and every workshop guest who graced us with their gifts and talents in 2015. I just posted all of my January and February workshop dates here! I would love to see you at an event in 2016!

Wishing you and your family a warm and cozy holiday season!
