If you have been familiar with Prairie Letter Shop in last few years, you know that I love every opportunity to work with my friends at Ever Something, a gorgeous floral design and styling business here in Tulsa. When they opened their gorgeous retail space in the Kendall-Whittier neighborhood  we started scheming about workshops together, and in February, we finally saw the first one come to fruition.

Because the workshop sold out so quickly and was such a hit with our guests, we're hosting our second Tulsa workshop together on April 3. Click here to grab your ticket, and keep scrolling to swoon over the gorgeous details. We were so lucky to have Monica Burgess of Monica Burgess Photography and Holly Felts of Every Little Beat Photography on hand to capture all the magic! We are also thankful for our sponsors: Bumble and Pine contributed locally-made beeswax lip balms and Livi Lee's Donuts delighted our guests with tasty treats.

The photos in this Part I gallery were all taken by Holly Felts of Every Little Beat. We'll be sharing more snapshots from Monica Burgess later this week!

We started the workshop with introductions, donuts from Livi Lee's, and a delightful mimosa bar. We were amazed by how many people traveled to come create with us. It was also sweet to have so many family members attending together!

The teaching fun began with two hours of calligraphy. Guests learned about supplies, and then we spent a great deal of time on proper position. We practiced all the letters in the alphabet, learned how to connect letters, and then made a final composition. In the break between content, our guests used our props to style and photograph their final compositions while they munched on delicious lunchtime snacks.

The space was flipped for floral and the fun began with Taylor Fowler demonstrating her process for creating a compote arrangement. We all stood in amazement as she modeled some of her unique tricks for prepping flowers. Guests spent the next one and a half hours arranging, each person creating something so totally unique and gorgeous. Flowers were everywhere!

This workshop was incredibly meaningful. It was an amazing opportunity for us to work and teach together as friends and colleagues. Our guests left smiling from ear to ear with their new calligraphy skills and their amazing take-home arrangements.

We're excited to share Part 2 later this week for more beautiful photos. If you're near the Tulsa area, come join us for our second workshop on April 3! We would love to have you!
